Lesson Plans In Action

Lesson Plans In Action provides examples of how parents, teachers and caregivers have used the Beaming Bright, You’re a Shining Light Storybook and Lesson Plans in a home or classroom environment.  This social and emotional learning component contains new activities, information and insights not included in the original printing of the Lesson Plans.

Many examples of the children’s artwork are included to demonstrate how the children have learned the social and emotional concepts.  For example, in the Breathing Free In Action,  children’s artwork illustrates how they learned to identify and express their feelings, think more clearly and solve problems.  In the Shining Light In Action, children created “Shining Stars” and “Bookmarks” to help them to understand the concepts, “I Am Creative” and “I Can Create Happy Moments.”
